Halloween

Halloween night was pretty cute in my house. Zoey was pretty annoyed with having to be Tinkerbell. She was looking for another costume. But since she had only WANTED to be Tinkerbell, well its all she had to go with it. So I tried to spice it up for her a little and I offered to color her hair pink. As I'm spraying the pink color on her ponytail and top of her hair, her little sister is just watching so intently. Then Audrey starts to move her head slowly over toward Zoey's head. Just kinda slowly, sneakily as if we won't notice her head coming closer while her body is at least two feet away. Yeah, you guessed how this ended. One WHOLE bottle of hair color three minutes later and Audrey is pushing her sisters head out of the spray to get her whole head in it. She LOVES it. She was upset when it was all gone. By the end of the night, the stroller had two pink spots on it, my shirt had pink marks all over it, the bathtub at the end of the night was BRIGHT PINK!!!
They had a blast trick or treating. We met up with two of Zoey's friend - her two favorite neighbor friends. Here is a picture of Zoey and one of her friends dressed as Sleeping Beauty. As you can see Audrey also insisted on being in the photo! We trick or treated with these friends last year. It's a nice tradition and a great time. Lots of candy, lots of walking and a night when the kids sleep really well!! Audrey had hit the chocolate before we had even stopped at 2 houses. I didn't even open it for her - she sucked it out!

Also of note, Audrey had been off the prevacid for her reflux for a few weeks. Two days after Halloween, her reflux spiked horribly. I couldn't figure out why she was all of sudden puking at night again. Then I found out its related to chocolate. Poor kid - does this mean she has a life of no chocolate and peanut butter (allergies) ahead of her? That makes my husband cry to think of her not being able to eat PB....and how sad - no reeses peanut butter cups!!!

Oh Shit???
Guess I need to update this thing huh? Well, we obviously all got well from that last nasty cold. But it took a while and we're well on our way to another nasty cold I'm sure.
Let me update you on the cutest girls in the world.
Zoey just had her adenoid removed and tubes put in her ears. We're hoping this will get rid of any hearing problems she's been having, help her speech, and help her understand/focus on the teachers in school more. It could also be that these problems are just related to being a normal 4yro...but only time will tell as she continues to recover. She is doing awesome in the hearing department, almost instantly. She's stopped asking me to turn up the movie/music in the car. I dont have to put the music in the back speakers and turn it up to max volume. Apparently, thats a pretty good sign that your preschooler can't hear well....
Something we didn't know about having the adenoid removed. Her breath smells. Not just bad, but I mean a bird crawled down her throat and died. The doctors office today mentioned that its normal for it to smell bad, the nurse kept saying "yeah, like a barn". And I said to her only if that barn had a small nest of dead baby birds....Her breath is badddddd. Her throat still her hurts a little too.
Tonight she told me she wanted to go to Chucky Cheeses. She said she wanted to go like the big kids do. And I said who? She said just the big kids momma, I cant go since I'm a little guy. I'm just a little guy....
Her current likes. Playing with the Littlest Pet Shops animals. Every minute of the day she has some little kitty or doggy and a carry case and some food, water and blanket for it. She seems to have moved away from dressing up. This happened shortly after her birthday and too soon before Halloween. It made Halloween a pain in the butt!! I had to bribe her with painting her hair pink in order to get her to wear a costume!! I'll post pictures... Oh and her boyfriends change with the number of days in the week. It was Tom, now its William....we're currently on number 6 since school started!!
As for Audrey. Just call her the brute. Spaass. The silly one. The one who will really keep me on my feet. Her current likes - ALL SHOES, the higher the heel the better. Purses and carrying them. Microphones. (see where I'm going with this - future lounge singer?) And MOST of all - ANYTHING HER SISTER DOES! She is beginning to insist on taking off her diaper. I think I'll start trying her on a potty. So far she doesn't like the toilet - she just wants to take off the diaper to run over and pee on the rug. She can take out a 4yro from a stand still and has no problem yanking a 10yro out of seat that she wants. Oh boy. And as for the title of this post - well, we're pretty sure that's her first phrase. She doesn't talk much but makes lots of communicative noises and grunting. Except when she drops something or loses something or bonks something and then just as plain as day, she says Oh Shit.
Oh Boy...
